Rusty has been the driving force behind RBK for nearly three decades. His journey with the company began in 1996, when he purchased the former Paisley International after the previous owner passed away. Prior to that, Rusty was working in the oil industry, but his lifelong desire to be his own boss and his reputation for hard work and integrity made the leap into small business ownership a natural fit. 

In 2013, RBK Fasteners moved into its current storefront, a shift that helped ignite the company’s growth. Rusty credits the booming business not only to the prime location but to the “old-school” values that have guided him from day one: service, service, service, honest relationships, and the belief that the best business is still done with a handshake. 

Over the years, Rusty has built a fiercely loyal customer base. He attributes the company’s success to those customers and to his team that simply “busts ass” every day to keep the standard of service high. For Rusty, being part of a small, family-rooted business isn’t just a career; it’s a point of pride. 

A major part of that family foundation is his wife, Missy, who plays an essential role in RBK’s financial and administrative operations. When the company needed someone trustworthy and detail-oriented to oversee its accounting, Rusty knew immediately that Missy was the perfect fit. Her background in insurance and her shared commitment to integrity have helped solidify RBK’s reputation for reliability and strong stewardship. 

When he’s not at the shop, Rusty can usually be found outdoors–golfing, hunting, fishing, or boating– or trying to get a laugh by pranking Missy! His work ethic may be intense, but his sense of humor always keeps things grounded.

Today, RBK Fasteners, Inc. stands as a testament to Rusty’s values: hard work, genuine relationships, and unwavering dedication to the people they serve. And after 30 years, he still loves what he does.

Nick is an experienced Account Manager at RBK, known for his reliability, attention to detail and strong work ethic. Since joining the team, he’s played a key role in supporting customers, managing major accounts, and ensuring smooth order fulfillment–all while maintaining clear and consistent communication with his customers.

Originally from North Dakota, Nick moved to Michigan to play hockey at Aquinas College, where he earned a dual degree in Business Administration and Sports Management. A dedicated athlete, he competed on multiple sports teams–and also met his wife, Maddie, during his time at school. Nick now shares his passion for hockey by coaching at Fox Motors Youth Hockey Club. 

He and Maddie recently bought their first home and are proud dog parents to their golden retriever, Bean. Outside of the office, Nick enjoys golfing, spending time with family and friends, and visiting his hometown whenever he can. 

Nate is a motivated Account Manager at RBK, bringing a strong background in heavy equipment  and hands-on technical training. Since joining the team, he’s focused on building lasting customer relationships and delivering responsive support. 

He attended Unity Christian High School, where he also completed the Heavy Equipment program through the Careerline Tech Center. Nate went on to earn a degree in Heavy Equipment Technology from Ferris State University, gaining in-depth knowledge of machinery, systems, and field operations. 

Outside of work, Nate is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys fishing in all forms, hunting upland game and waterfowl, snowmobiling, and downhill skiing. If it involves the outdoors, he’s all in. He married his wife, Katie, in May 2025, and together they enjoy exploring Michigan and spending time with family and friends.
